OSRS gold: wasting money on useless things

While traveling aroud the world of Gielinor, you collect many different items. If the item was collected not in quest, you always trade it in the Grand Exchange. But if you are playing OldSchool RuneScape, which of you are, you should avoid any expensive and useless items, that will give you no bonuses, yet take a precious space in your inventory. A round of applause goes to RSMills team, which have rounded up some key items, that will quicly empty your stocks of OSRS gold and will give little, or nothing in return.

Party hat & specs

Just like the Blue party hat in regular Runescape (which costs 10000M coins or 2,280 $, just so you could understand that amount of this crap) this holiday item is quite expensive and useless. Unless you wan‘t look cool for yourself, but thats pretty much it. Of course, this „pretty nothing“ can be exchanged for 1,135M coins, which is still million times less than the most expensive and crappy items in Runescape.

Sagacious spectacles

This item might make your player look more stylish, but that’s still a lot for 1,124,268 coins. Of course, people in real-world spend even more money for clothes that would wear one time and after that, would hide them in the closet. The item is around just 5 years now (it was released in 2014), and right now its OSRS gold value is dropping. What a coinsidence. In September 2015 this item has reached its heights, and now while the price is still a bit fluctuating, it’s becoming more and more stable.

Torture ornament kit

Looking for something that would be so random, so you could not even describe its randomness? This strange item has a value of 6,351,910 coins in the Grand Exchange. Even Anthony Davis could not raise his EYEBROW as high, as most players, whet they hear these numbers. Most players think that the price has risen for its rarity and how it can be made untradeable (if you attach it to amulet of torture, which is, by the way, the only possible use for this item). No other comments.

Occult ornament kit

This one is pretty similar to torture ornament kit, as the occult one can be attached to the occult necklace. Different name – same result. This item can be exchanged a bit cheaper than the torture kit though. Its exchange price is 5,875,743 coins.

Don’t forget that there‘s always a workaround. Even in these absurd situations. If you acquire the items without buying or exchanging them, you can sell them for their current price and get more OSRS gold.
