Slaying

Fighting monsters and travelling around Gielinor above all else is you favorite thing to do in Runescape? Then buckle up, because training the Slayer skill is for you. This skill, available to all players, will also help you max your Combat level as well, because they are closely linked with each other, which totally makes sense when you know that you train Slayer by basically fighting and killing lots of monsters. When you max Slayer and Combat out, Jack The Giant Slayer will be proud of you instead of sad as he is now, when you are a Slayer noob.

To begin with your Slayer adventures, you will need to find a Slayer Master and buy an Enchanted Gem from him. This gem will let you interact with your chosen Slayer Master at will, without having to interact with him every time. It is very important to choose the right Master for your skill, as the level of your Master depends on your Slayer XP. There are eight of them in total and all have different requirements for Combat and Slayer level. Some also require certain quests to be completed. We are providing a table to help you find the best one:

Master Name Level Required Zone Quest Required
Turael (Spria) 1 Combat Taverley NONE
Mazzchna/Achtryn 20 Combat Canifis NONE
Vannaka 40 Combat Edgeville Dungeon NONE
Chaeldar 75 Combat Zanaris Lost City
Sumona 90 Combat

*Note that you should level your Slayer level to 35th level and afterwards, complete the legendary Smoking Kills quest in Pollnivneach to gain access to full reward points after completing Slayer tasks. Once you have enough points, buy the Ring of Slaying. At some point you will realize that it is very good for teleporting to Slayer destinations, while also functioning just as your Enchanted Gem.

So that is our Slayer overview, dear travelers. We hope that this information will help you in the furure. If you are still questioning whether you should go to Slaying or not, just give it a try. What worst could happen? Let‘s lighten up some monsters!
