The Mega May promotion has reached its mid-point with the weekend extravaganza following suit. While the first two weekends were themed after Port skills, and Dungeons & Raids, this upcoming weekend will push players to start Slaying and doing Bosses.
How exactly is Jagex hoping to encourage us to spend the end of the week slaying monsters and big bad wolves of Gielinor? First of all, base Slayer experience gains will be increased by 50%. You will also get extra training points from Boss training.
To encourage you to enter instances, the fees will be lowered by 10%. You will also have the option to choose which Boss Slayer assignments you want to take part in over the whole weekend, while all assigned Slayer tasks will be treated as if you were using a Slayer VIP ticket.
If that wasn’t enough of an incentive, you will also receive double points from regular and group slayer assignments. Finally, slightly off topic, charm drops will give one more charm than normal.
With these boosts, we suspect that many players will be tempted to get their Slayer boots on. It’s only a pity that you can’t be like Buffy in Gielinor. That would be even more fun, wouldn’t it?
